As we have entered into a time of great economic shaking and uncertainty on a global scale, many hearts are failing them for fear. Markets are crumbling, stock prices are falling, corporations are downsizing, banking and lending institutions are failing, and oil prices – until just recently – have been soaring. People are desperately searching for answers, and more and more people are turning to the prophets for a word of hope.
I want to encourage you that none of this took God by surprise and that He is still reigning on His throne. Now is not the time to cast blame on the government, greedy corporate executives or even yourself. The devil is good enough at his job of being an accuser without needing your help. Instead, remain anchored in faith knowing that you are part of an unshakable Kingdom whose economy is based on abundance and never lack. Don’t ascribe to the laws and limitations of this evil Babylonian world system. We are in this world but not of it; we ascribe to a higher law – the law of the Kingdom of God.
Ministries and churches around the globe, and especially here in America, have reported a huge drop in their financial support as more and more people have cut back on their giving because of fear and a mentality of lack. Let me encourage you by the Spirit of God that this is not the time to put the squeeze on your giving. By all means, if necessary, put some restrictions on your spending, but continue to sow into the Kingdom of God in faith knowing that, unlike the earthly stock markets, your investment is secure and is guaranteed to give you a yield of 30, 60 or 100 fold. In other words, investing in the Kingdom is the only guarantee you have of superseding the laws and limitations of lack that operate in this natural world.
Remember to give in faith and not out of compulsion (2 Cor 9:6, 7). And beware of eloquent and “anointed” preachers and prophets who would seek to manipulate you into giving using hype and gimmicks.
I also want to encourage those of you who live in America to go out and exercise your civic duty and democratic right to vote for the person you believe should be the next president. Please do not allow yourself to be swayed in your vote by everything you hear spoken by the media or even some preachers and Christian organizations.
God revealed to me several months ago who the next president of the United States would be. I am neither democrat nor republican; left wing nor right wing. I have just learned how to hear God, and I encourage you to do the same. Don’t be so blinded by party loyalties, race or media (including so-called “Christian” organizations) propaganda that you miss God during this season.
Even though both candidates may be qualified in their own right to lead this nation, God has selected one man for the job, and His intent will be realized even in the midst of us exercising our democratic rights and responsibilities by voting for whom we think is best. This is one of those cases where God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility create that unified tension that causes a manifestation of God’s purposes in the earth.
The next president of the United States will not be chosen simply because he has the better character or ideals, but because he was born to fulfill God’s divine purpose in the earth during this season. Let us be mindful of this fact as a great shift has taken place in the heavenlies and is just now being made manifest in the earth.
This is an exciting time to be alive. Let us remain steadfast in hope and expectation that God’s Kingdom will come and His will done in all the earth just as it is in heaven.
For the King and His Kingdom,
Robert & Alicia Paul
