The Voice of the Turtledove

The Bridegroom is wooing and calling. Listen closely and you can hear the voice of our Lord calling His bride to come away with Him. We are in the season of freshness and newness. We are in the season of new life and love. Jesus our Christ is calling us to come away with Him and to find sweet communion with Him; to taste the honey from the rock of His life and His heart towards us in love.

It does not matter what circumstances you find yourself in today. It does not matter what yesterday was. It only matters what the Word of the Lord says. The Word of God is true. It is living and it divides asunder. The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 11:4 NKJ)

It is the voice of the turtledove you hear.

“My beloved speaks, and says to me:
‘Arise, my love, my fair one,
And come away.
For behold, the winter is past,
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of singing (of birds) has come,
and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth and ripens her green figs,
and the vines are in blossom and give forth their fragrance.
Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away!'”

-Song of Songs 2:10-13 (Amplified)

The Voice of the Turtle Dove calls. Holy Spirit woos you to come aside from the every day issues and the cares of your heart. He calls you to leave it all behind and come with Him to the place of rest. There is this serene place of confidence and rest that He has prepared for you. It is His voice you hear. The scriptures say, “The sheep that are My own, hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.

Jesus says, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good–not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. (Amplified)

If we disobey and do not listen to His word and refuse to be compliant or persuaded to enter into Him, our unwillingness makes it impossible to receive His gift of rest. We must trust and rely on God; if we do not, our own unbelief shuts us out. (Hebrews 3:18, 19)

Holy Ghost has ways He brings us to, and through, to trust Him. Remember how long the murmuring Israelites wandered in the wilderness before entering into the Promise Land? Remember how many from the original group actually entered? It was Joshua and Caleb because they were of a different spirit and believed what God said and not what their eyes showed them. It can be a long and harsh process or it can happen quickly. We are the ones who determine the length of the training. Our prayer must be, “Lord, I am willing to be made willing. I am willing to be all You want me to be. I am willing to come to the end of my own strength and rely upon You only. Letting Him hear the words, Lord I surrender to You and to You alone.

He has brought you through the winter season. The pruning has been sharp and deep; cutting away to bring forth more of the anointing and gifting that dwells within you. It is not that the fruit was not there before this season. There was much fruit that many have eaten from. Many lives have been touched and brought to newness of hope and expectation. However, now our Master is looking for more fruit and more service for Kingdom. The potential is there; the ability to grow and flourish is there. Choices must be made to step out in Him and walk upon the path of destiny right now. Many of us think destiny is a far away place to be obtained. Destiny is in the now and we continue to flow with Him we grow and mature into new levels of maturity and responsibility of the Spirit.

When I think of pruning I think of the vineyard and the grapevine. Christ is the vine and we are the branches; the grape cluster is produced on the branch; only if the branch is attached and abiding with the vine. We read in John the following, John 15:1 I am the True Vine and My Father is the Vinedresser. 2 Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. 3 You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you]. 4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. (Amplified)

What do we find in the cluster of fully ripe and mature grapes? What do we discover in the wine press? The ripe grapes are pressed and squeezed to get all the juice, all the wine. The fullness there of is in the cluster. We need to learn to stay with the cluster where the power and the anointing are found. When we disconnect and become isolated the power of that cluster is not within us and it is not within our reach.

If we learn anything in this day from Holy Ghost, it is that together as team we can overcome and be all God has called us to be. As we stay connected, under authority God our Heavenly Father has placed us under, we will grow and become all we can be.

Can you hear the Voice of the Turtle Dove? There is the mournful call that is heard a call longing to have communion and fellowship with His own. We can hear it and respond, run to Him and the treasure of His love and glory will be released to us and through us. Listen closely and move in obedience in this season. Seasons are God’s set times and they come and go but they are always coming. Determine to walk in Him to be all He has called and anointed you to become.

My prayer for you is, “Father, enable Your chosen ones to be all You have called them to be. Enable Holy One, the ability to come to fullness of maturity to be the bread of life to be broken and fed to the hungry and hurting masses. Thank You for Your divine enablement. I pray in the powerful name of Jesus our Christ. Amen.”
